6-day Ait Bougmez hike

• • Day 1: Marrakech – Azilal – Timite

Start your amazing walking holiday with Hiking Atlas Mountains at your place/airport in Marrakech. Our guide and driver will pick you up and start your journey heading toward the high Atlas mountains. Why not stop to visit the Ouzoud waterfalls or the museum of the Geopark M’goun in Azilal. We finally arrive at our guesthouse in the village of Timite at 1840m. overnight and dinner is included in the Gite.

• • Day 2: Timit – Ait Ouriaat – Tadroyt – Ifran

This morning, we meet our trekking staff. We then start our lovely walk along the beautiful Happy Valley, we trek along in the shade of walnut trees. Walking through the Berber villages, we get to enjoy a cup of tea with a local family and experience their way of life. Enjoy our lunch in the nature at the village of Tadroyt and continue our walk to the Gite/camp in Ifran for the night. 5h walk

• • Day 3: Ifran – Zaouit – Izoughar lake – Zaouit n Oualmzi

Today, we start our journey and walk up the valley of Ait Hkem to the last village of Zaouit. We hike a 300m up hile to the lake of Izoughar, panoramic view to the whole valley. There, at the lake, we enjoy our lunch prepared by our trekking cook. Head back down to Zaouit n Oualmzi for the night in Gite/camp. 5h walking

• • Day 4: Zaouit n Oualmzi – Rbat n ouflla – Ibakllioune – Ait Imi

After breakfast, we leave the guesthouse and head over the mountain range of Tingifyine down to the villages of Rbat for lunch under the walnut trees. After lunch, we stop at the village of Ibaqlliouen to explore the dinosaur footprints and get to the old village of Ait Imi for the night in Gite/camp.

• • Day 5: Ait Imi – Tabant – Sidi Moussa – Timite

We leave the villages of Ait Imi today and walk towards Tabant which is the mean town of Ait Bougeumez valley. We enjoy a Nes Nes coffee with milk at a local Cafe and continue our journey to visit Sidi Moussa. It is one of the mean sites of the valley, an old granary store on the top of the hill that offers a magnificent view of the happy valley. Walk down to enjoy our last meal with the group muleteers by the river. After lunch, we walk to the guesthouse.

• • Day 6: Timite – Ait Bouelli – Imin Ifri – Damnat – Marrakech

Breakfast at 8 am and leave the valley at 9 am. Today, the 6-day Ait Bougmez hike comes to an end. We drive back to Marrakech via Ait Bouelli valley and the site of Imi n Ifri. drop at your place in Marrakech
